Beware: This sitcom features an obnoxious laugh track, wins no awards for originality of its storylines and setups, and has no particular shortage of stereotypes. I still can't help but enjoy it, from its lovely opening sequence to the abundant references to science and geek culture (including gratuitous mentions of Facebook, Twitter and Lolcats). The writing is certainly better and the characters (well, Sheldon at least) are more likable than on The IT Crowd – give it a shot.
